Week 8- Technical Drawing (II)
For this week, we learned how to draw technical flats accurately based on the template. I realized I always miss out the seam line on the back drawing. I began to understand the importance of practicing drawing these flats and to hone this skill for people in the fashion industry. These drawings will be the language between you and the pattern cutter, machinists, and other. It must be drawn accurately to avoid misunderstandings.

I also did computerised technical flats from Adobe illustrator. Personally, I still prefer hand drawing my technical flats as I work more efficiently in the traditional method. Although it may not be as precise as computerised flats, it still has its uniqueness and smooth line flow.
